Scarecrow festival 🎃
Last Saturday, I finally made it to the Scarecrow Festival at Belbroughton, a lovely little town in Worcestershire. It’s been a tradition I’ve wanted to experience for years, and it did not disappoint! The whole town comes alive with creativity as the local residents design and display unique scarecrows in their front gardens, each following a fun and imaginative theme. Walking through the streets, it was amazing to see the level of detail and effort put into each display—from spooky scarecrows to characters inspired by movies and pop culture.
In addition to the scarecrows, there were loads of stalls selling everything from homemade treats and food to charity items and crafts. I spent ages browsing, trying different foods, and chatting with some of the locals, who were so welcoming. The whole atmosphere felt vibrant and festive, making it the perfect day out with family. I’m already looking forward to going back next year!
Autumn bucket list 🍁🍂
This year, I want to make sure I make the most out of this season. I love autumn way too much and feel like there is so much to do before it’s Christmas time!!!
To help ensure I don’t miss out on all the fun activities, I’ve created an autumn bucket list for myself.
Any excuse for me to get creative, and I’m in! So, I rushed to Hobbycraft, purchased some craft paper and stickers, and then got my creative flair on at home. Don’t get me wrong—it’s not the most beautiful thing, but I’ve enjoyed making it either way.
I think this would be an amazing task to do with kids: put Hotel Transylvania on in the background, make some hot chocolates, and enjoy being creative.
Included in my bucket list, which I’m going to make sure I do this year, are…
Pumpkin carving
Visit a pumpkin patch
Harry Potter marathon
Bake cakes
Collect conkers
Jump in a pile of leaves (yes, I know I’m 28 years old)
Jigsaw puzzles, etc.
Honestly, you can add so many more things to your list, and they don’t even have to require spending money. It could be that you want to watch a series like Gossip Girl, go for long walks, or finally set aside some time to read a book that’s been on your shelf for months.
If you do make yourself a bucket list, send a picture over to me on here or my Insta, as I’d love to see it! 😍🍂👻🤎
Book of the week 📚
This week’s book of the week is My Rules, part of the Kingston Lane series by T L Swan. It’s the second book in the series, and as one of my absolute favorite authors, she never disappoints! Her books always leave me speechless. I’m spending my entire weekend binge-reading this one because, trust me, the first book was incredible! If you haven’t started this series yet, you definitely need to add it to your list.
